With Erin and John both living in sunny Arizona, the first time I got to meet them was on their wedding day. As soon as I arrived to their family cabin near Park Falls, WI, I saw friends and family members hurriedly putting together the details for their big day. It was so awesome to see everyone participating in making their beautiful visions for their day come to life! I found the ladies excitedly getting ready inside and Erin getting the last touches of makeup and hair done before she made her way outside for their Engagement Session. Did I mention we had a full day ahead of us? Since we never had gotten to take engagement photos prior – we set time aside in the morning to photograph the lovebirds and their two adorable pups!
After the the engagement session, Erin put on her gorgeous wedding gown and met John outside by their favorite tree near the cabin where they then shared a ‘First Look’. The tears in John’s eyes surely showed how stunning his bride to be was and how he couldn’t wait to see her walk down that aisle! Once guests arrived at the cabin, they were escorted on a golf cart down the road to a private lake. Erin and John shared their vows under a rustic hand-made arch with the changing leaves in the background and the sun glistening off the water of the lake. It was one of the most breathtaking ceremonies I have ever photographed in my life!
After the ceremony, that’s when the party began! Guests were driven back up the road to the cabin where a big white tent was set up in the backyard. A gorgeous array of appetizers were set up for friends and family to eat, along with a canoe filled with brews to drink. The remainder of the night was filled with delicious eats, heart-warming toasts, happy dances, and even a firework show to end the already perfect night.
