After corresponding by email with Bryce & Elizabeth, we quickly came up with a plan to capture an adventurous sunrise engagement session in Houghton, Michigan, where they both currently live and attend school. A friend of mine and I set off for Upper Michigan in her camper van where we spent a few days exploring all Houghton had to offer, and scouting out locations for E & B’s session.

On the day of the shoot we woke up at the crack of dawn to beat the crowds, and met these two lovebirds at the first stop: waterfalls. My nature loving heart was overflowing with happiness getting to capture B & E in such a magical location where the autumn colors were starting to peak through. Getting to know these two and explore with them was a true joy.
