Nick and I woke at 4am to begin our journey to Railay Beach; a peninsula between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang, accessible only by boat due to its beautiful, tall limestone cliffs. We took a motorbike to the ferry, and then a long tail through the waters. Our boat ride was dark as we wanted to beat the sun before beginning Ann & David’s Anniversary Session. Ann & David reside in Iceland, but were on holiday in Thailand for a few weeks of relaxation, exploring, and scuba-diving. It was only fitting to capture their anniversary while in such a beautiful place!
We met the two at their resort, Rayavadee, which was nestled in an area of Railay Beach knows for its natural beauty, flora, fauna, and marine life. As the sun began to rise, they walked the edges of the resort pool. The grounds were quiet, and the only things you heard were the sounds of animals and insects waking in the jungle around us. Once we finished up by the pool, we walked over to beach front and took advantage of the crowd-less beach. We ended their session at Princess Cave, which ended up being the most adventurous! We waded in waist deep waters to get to the cave, and by the end of our time shooting there the tide had risen several feet. Luckily, David was blessed with height, and was able to carry my camera gear back on top of his head while the rest of us swam our way back to shore.
I’ve fallen in love with Adventure Session’s, and I can’t wait to capture more of them <3
