Hello! As you read this I am currently exploring beautiful Puerto Rico, but I wanted to share with you some of the highlights from my recent trip to Ireland with my brother. Leaving the airport in Dublin I realized that driving in Ireland was going to be nothing like in the United States. For a girl who gets everywhere relying on her GPS, I had to quickly learn how to use a map to get us around on the curvy and unmarked roads. One of our favorite B&B’s was near Wicklow at the Trooperstown Wood Lodge. The host was the sweetest Hungarian woman that you’d ever meet. For dinner, she would call a nearby restaurant down the road and they would send someone to pick us up and bring us back to the lodge afterwards. Talk about great service!
Some of the highlights I really enjoyed were Glendalough National Park, Gap of Dunloe, Cliffs of Moher, and the Northern Ireland shore by Dunluce Castle and Giants Causeway. The Carrick-a-rede Bridge was also beautiful. It was a rainy and brisk day, but they still allowed us to cross the unsteady bridge. I think one of my favorite days was hiking in the Gap of Dunloe with scenery that reminded me of Colorado. We took some great hikes up to the top of the mountains and was surrounded by beautiful views and lots of sheep!
Hope that you enjoy taking a look at some of my pictures from along the way. It was hard to choose from the 1700 photos I took which ones to post. If you would like to follow my current traveling in Puerto Rico, feel free to follow me on instagram and I will be sure to post more when I return!
